We understand cognitive systems as information processing systems that learn and behave autonomously by perceiving, recognizing, and interpreting events in its surroundings. Within this framework our current research concentrates on human-centered technologies and applications, as for example human-machine interfaces based on biosignals such as speech, muscle activity, and brain waves.
One application for us are spoken dialog systems which can adapt their behavior the user's state (cognitive workload, emotion, ...).
